The artwork was created by artist Françesko Dinaj, with the support of PPNEA and in cooperation with the Municipality of Pukë. The initiative aims to promote the area's natural values and raise awareness about the conservation of the Balkan Lynx, one of Albania’s most iconic wildlife species.

The mural was officially inaugurated on 25th of May in the presence of representatives from PPNEA, the Municipality of Pukë, the Cultural Centre, and students from “Migjeni” School. The event formed part of a series of activities organised around World Environment Day, bringing together local institutions and young people to highlight the importance of environmental protection for future generations.

Through public art, the mural conveys a powerful message: safeguarding the Balkan Lynx is a shared responsibility that requires the commitment of institutions, conservation organisations, and local communities living near its habitat.

As a new landmark for residents and visitors alike, the mural will serve as a lasting reminder of the importance of protecting forests, natural habitats, and the region’s biodiversity, all of which are essential for the future survival of the Balkan Lynx.
